This problem came out of the blue. I select to print something, my printer in the taskbar shows that document is pending, but the printing never starts. There are no error messages.
I can select to cancel but the document doesn't disappear unless I restart. I've checked my cables and everything is ok there. Nothing else has happened. The printer was printing, and now it isn't.
Kjw Mark 1 Ruger Co2 Airsoft Non Blowback more. It appears that it's going to but nothing happens. I need to get this printer working, badly, so would appreciate if someone could help me, please!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If this gives anyone any further hints as to the problem. I just tried to make a copy with it and it went through the count down process and showed 'copying' and then nothing happened. I shut the printer off for a couple of minutes and then turned it back on and it went ahead and made the copy. I went to the Control Panel/Printers and the Dell A960 shows as 'Ready' to print and there is a checkmark indicating it is the default printer. The 'Cleaning page' printed off fine and looks good. But the 'test page' will not print. I selected to print twice and it just sits in the printer as pending.
When I clicked and selected to cancel the 'test pages' from the printer they disappeared, but the original page that I tried to print still shows as 'deleting.' Nikilet, You can copy a document under the glass? Black and white and color? I would suggest reinstalling the printer using the instructions below. First run to remove any stuck print job in the queue. Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer. Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed.
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista You'll get a message, the printer is not connected.
Connect the printer at this time(powered on). Links to the patch/drivers can be found. Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications. Another note for Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems In the December batch of Windows Updates, Microsoft installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 had been causing printer problems. Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there.
